I forgot I even had this blog! Here's what I've been up to in the past year...

Art Show

I forgot to post photos of my art show. It was held in a laundromat, which made me a little nervous, but also real excited. I mean, what a great place to have artwork displayed! I didn't realize people would be doing laundry while the show was going on, so that was interesting. So many of my friends came out and I sold most of my pieces! Bodyshine djs came out, as well as my friends Alison Leedy and Stephen Dahmer. Such a great night. What beats dancing in a laundromat and sitting in laundry carts? Unfortunately, someone stole the spider and mouse out of my diarama. I discovered that today when I went to pick my work up. Who does that???!!!

Dress up

I just got a new (vintage 60's) dress off etsy. I decided to dress up for fun. Plus, I just dyed my hair this morning and it turned out really rad!

Sewing Hope Fashion Show

I just got back from vacation but there is no time to relax anymore. Pia and I are designing and making an outfit for Sewing Hopes fashion show in less than 2 months. My good friend and occasional design partner have participated in this event the past two years. Every year it gets a little bigger and better. This year it will be held in a nightclub in New York instead of a restaurant and will have professional models. We had to be selected this year to participate. The money raised goes to teaching women in Uganda how to sew to make a living. Tickets in the past have been $75. Please let me know if you would like to attend.
